Dr. Chen received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Taipei Medical University. After practicing as a general dentist in the Greater Taipei area for a few years, Dr. Chen attended the Advanced Clinical Training Program at the University of California Los Angeles. Hungry for further extending his clinical skills and professional knowledge, he was accepted to the esteemed Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics at Boston University, where he received intensive training in clinical endodontics and its correlated sciences.
As a resident, he gave several topic presentations to his colleagues, including: “Prognosis of Cracked Teeth after Root Canal Treatment”, “The Management of Perforated Teeth”, “3-D Printing Technology in Clinical Endodontics.” His research on the outcome of root canal treatment was also published on the renowned peer-reviewed Journal of Endodontics.
His enthusiasm in consistently reading up-to-date articles in all scopes of dentistry and participating in continuing education shows in his everyday work, as he provides and thoroughly explains an evidence-based treatment philosophy to every one of his patients.
Having moved from the New England area to El Paso, the city and its amazing weather gave Dr. Chen the warmest welcome. In his free time, he enjoys working out, watching movies, and exploring local food scenes. He is thrilled to call El Paso his new home.
Dr. Chen is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, and the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
