Dr. Yangpei Cao is a board certified endodontist, which is the highest honor in Endodontics, awarded by the American Board of Endodontics. She is also serving the Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine as a part-time faculty, as the Clinical Assistant Professor.
Dr. Cao obtained the dental degree from West China School of Stomatology in 2011. She got Master of Science degree in Oral Biology at UCLA School of Dentistry in 2014. She was awarded the certificate of postgraduate program in Endodontics from UCLA in 2015. Dr. Cao was Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA from 2015 until June 2019, then moved to El Paso.
Dr. Cao is a member of American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontist. Dr. Cao is also an active member of Seattle study club, and gave lectures in local dental community. She is in the scientific advisory board for Journal of Endodontics, Oral Disease, Scientific Report, Odontology, Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. She has published 13 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Endodontics and Journal of Dental Research. She has given lectures in international conferences and symposium. Dr. Cao values patient experience and uses various techniques to ensure the comfort of every patient.
Dr. Dhruvi Patel is an Endodontist and a board eligible candidate with the American Board of Endodontists. Dr. Patel obtained her dental degree in 2015 from DDU- Faculty of Dental Sciences, after which she pursed her career in the specialty of Endodontics. She received a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology as well as her postgraduate certificate in Endodontics from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2022. She has participated and presented at several research events and was recognized as one the top five winners in the resident research category at the annual conference of American Association of Endodontist in 2022.
Dr. Patel’s training and research background has given her a strong foundation to practice evidence-based dentistry. She values and aims to provide excellence in care for her patients
with a gentle approach.
Dr. Patel is a professionally trained Indian classical dancer and in her spare time she enjoys painting, spending time with her family and traveling.
Dr. Michelle Sarno grew up in San Diego, California but moved to New York City for dental school after earning her undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Biology degree at San Diego State University. Through the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2005. Upon graduation, she was commissioned as a general dentist Officer in the United States Army Dental Corps serving tours in the U.S. and Iraq through 2010. Serving the Soldier with dental procedures that kept them pain free to preserve their fighting strength, prompted her calling to specialize in Endodontics. She was accepted into the U.S. Army Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Gordon, Georgia and received her certificate in 2012. Honorably discharged from the Army in 2015, she has since been in clinical private practice.
Dr. Sarno is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and is a scientific advisory board member for the Journal of Endodontics. She has been a volunteer provider in multiple Dental Mission of Mercy community events in Georgia and Oklahoma. She is a life long learner dedicated to providing individualized, quality, and compassionate care to all of her patients.
Dr. Sarno is a proud military wife to Dr. Walter Dimalanta, and a proud mom of 2 boys. Outside the office, you will find her making memories with her family while traveling, exploring, and trying new things.
